LanguageCorps is operated by LanguageCorps Asia and offers
comprehensive TEFL / TESOL Teaching English programs and
training courses, job placement for English teachers and
logistical support for talented people interested in taking
a gap year, study abroad, teach and travel, teaching abroad,
becoming an English teacher, learning to teach English
overseas, teaching young learners, teaching business English
in Cambodia, Thailand, Vietnam, China and anywhere in
Asia.
We provide unique training combining TEFL / TESOL certification,
local language and cultural immersion courses, and job
placements into paid teaching English roles with select
schools across Asia – Empowering our teachers to
thrive as professionals abroad.
LanguageCorps’ MISSION
is to offer participants a rewarding experience living
in, working in and learning about a new cultures; offering
them a unique opportunity to learn and apply new skills
and challenging them to develop a wider, first-person
perspective about the diversity of cultures and populations
around the world – all within the security of a
paid job teaching English, a highly organized system,
and a supportive community.
LanguageCorps’ GOALS are to:
• Empower our teachers with TEFL training, job placement
and support, focusing on the process so our teachers can
focus on the experience of living as professionals abroad
• Challenge our teachers to learn and apply new
skills, while making real contributions to the success
and well being of others in the world
• Help reduce the risk often associated with living
and working in a new part of the world, far from home
- allowing our teachers enjoy a secure lifestyle and rewarding
travel adventure
• Work for our teachers, not for the schools which
employ them
• Develop culturally responsive "citizen diplomats,"
who appreciate cultural diversity, foster mutual respect,
and encourage understanding among culturally diverse peoples
Our school works with U.S. Colleges and Universities to
identify college graduates interested in traveling abroad
for a learning and experience program beginning with a full
Certification TEFL / TESOL course and ending in job placement
in countries in need of English teachers. The school is
a member of NACE (National Association of Colleges and Employers)
and has been approved by other member schools (i.e. Ohio
State University, Purdue, Harvard, Yale, Tufts University,
University of North Carolina, Duke University and many others)
for on campus recruitment for our TESOL programs.
The primary Asian training facility is located on campus
at Pannasastra University of Cambodia in Phnom Penh. Our
TEFL / TESOL program has been approved by the University
for issuance of advanced placement and graduate credit towards
its M.Ed. TEFL / TESOL program. Pannasastra is a member
of the Accreditation Committee of Cambodia for Higher Education,
which certifies credit and degree granting institutions
in Cambodia and is itself a member of the Council for Higher
Education Accreditation in Washington D.C., the accreditation
body for the regional accreditation of US colleges and Universities.
Through this linkage of accreditation authorities, credits
and programs from Pannasastra are transferable and accepted
at Accredited Institutions of Higher Education world wide.
In addition, in order to best provide for language teacher
training in remote areas of the world without needless duplication
of services, we work in mutually cooperative association
with other TEFL / TESOL providers including: World TEFL
School, Bridge LinguaTec, CACTUS TEFL, and others.

East Asia is really something else. It’s wonderful to
build a network of other teachers to rely on for support,
ideas and shared memories. It’s very low-key which is
